Some 19,000 volunteers across Canada do great jobs, many throughout the year, supporting low-income people with the preparation and filing of their income tax and benefit returns. But because the country is so vast, and we are all so focused on the work, we often do not have the time to seek out and learn about interesting developments taking place elsewhere in the country within the CVITP.
This part of the website offers CVITP volunteers a simple way of finding out about and of sharing information and ideas about the CVITP.
On the information and ideas page, we share what we know and our ideas.
The purpose of the Volunteer Networking Forum is to:
– highlight important changes for CVITP volunteers across Canada,
– comment on aspects of the CVITP at the national level, and
– raise issues connected with specific federal taxes and benefits treated in the return.
(Note that our Provinces & Territories section of the website offers CVITP volunteers a venue for sharing and reading information and ideas that are relevant to the CVITP in their own province or territory.)
